一、英国留学签证类型
普通(Tier4)学生签证：
申请人年龄：满17周岁以上；
此类签证适用于到英国读高中及以上的学位课程、大学及研究生预科课程的学生，签证有效期与CAS上课程的`时长一致，签证到期后可以在英国直接办理续签。
普通(Tier4)儿童学生签证：
申请人年龄：未满17周岁
此类签证适用于到英国读中学的学生，同Tier4普通学生签证一样，此类签证到期后可以在英国直接办理续签手续。
学生访问(Student Visitor)签证：
此类签证主要面向无法申请Tier4学生签证的学生，如未达到雅思要求而要到英国上语言课程的学生。此类签证的最长有效期为11个月，到期后即使已获得英国学位课程的正式录取也需要回国申请新的签证，不可以在英国直接办理续签手续。另外，持学生访问签证的，在英国期间不可以打工，而持Tier4学生签证在读本科以上课程的，每周可以打工10-20小时。
二、签证申请资料
无论申请上述何种类型的签证，均需要准备以下资料：新旧护照、近期照片、户口本、出生证明(18岁以下学生)、CAS、存款证明和银行流水、CAS要求的成绩单等文件。
准备好办理签证的全部材料后，方可预约签证时间，预约同时需在线支付签证费和医疗附加费。
之后按预约好的时间携带各项材料的原件、复印件、翻译件，准时前往英国签证中心，按规定流程办理签证。
