Dragon Boat Festival is one of the most important lunar festivals in is on the 5th of the fifth lunar month.

Almost every Chinese spends this re,in China,when this day comes,we dont have from year 2008 on,the government specified this day as the efore,we can have enough time and energy to celebrate this day.

In my memery,Dragon Boat Festival is in memory of the greatest poet Quyuan who was a patriot and died for his died from suicide 。He threw himself into the order to memorize him,people invented the zongzi which is a pyramid-shaped dumpling made by glutinous rice wrapped in reed or bamboo custom is handed down till now still eat it mentions zongzi,we have to mention Jiaxing zongzi from Zhenjiang zongzi from this place is very famous and delicious 。We suggest you should have a try.

Besides eating zongzi in this festival,some places also have dragon boat is also in memory of on boat is a quite interesting game which is liked by people there are many other activities that my hometown,we need to eat eggs.I think everyone must have their own ways to celebrate their festival.

The Dragon Boat Festival is celebrated by boat races （龙舟赛） in the shape of dragons. Competing teams （竞争团队） row their boats forward to a drumbeat （击古）racing to reach the finish end first. The boat races during the Dragon Boat Festival are traditional customs（传统习俗）to attempts to （试图）rescue （搭救） the patriotic poet （爱国诗人）Chu Yuan. Chu Yuan drowned （溺死） on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month in 277 B.C. Chinese citizens now throw bamboo leaves （竹叶） filled with cooked rice into the water. Therefore the fish could eat the rice rather than the hero poet. This later on turned into the custom of eating tzungtzu and rice dumplings（棕子）。

The celebration is a time for protection （防护） from evil（邪恶）and disease （疾病） for the rest of the year. It is done so by different practices such as hanging healthy herbs on the front door， drinking nutritious concoctions （营养品）， and displaying （展示） portraits （画像） of evils nemesis（邪恶报应），Chung Kuei. Dragon Boat Festival is a Chinese traditional festival. It falls on the fifth day of May in the lunar calendar. A day before this festival, my mother and grandmother began to make zongzi. Of course, I would act as assistant. But it turned out that I was more of a hindrance than a help. When they finished, they started to cook them. This process needed a long time, because I could have them in the next day. Zongzi was very delicious. On the day of dragon boat festival, our family prepared for dinner after having breakfast. Everyone of my family will come back home for the solid diet. Chicken is indispensable on the dinner desk in Chinese traditional festival. There were many delicious foods, which made me watering. I ate lots of them. It is a wonderful festival.
